Reliance One, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Calibration Engineer to support engine calibration and validation efforts for our automotive client in San Antonio. This full-time, on-site position is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about engine performance and control systems.
As a Calibration Engineer, you will:
Understand and apply engine operating fundamentals, engine management strategies, and calibration techniques
Deliver high-quality engine and application calibrations that meet performance targets and customer expectations
Test new and existing engine products to ensure they are suitable for integration into customer applications
Provide technical support to customers related to calibration and engine management systems
Perform additional duties and support engineering efforts as assigned
Calibration Engineer Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent)
Previous experience in engine calibration, testing, or development
Working knowledge of PC-based tools including spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software
Basic understanding of electrical, software, and mechanical engineering disciplines
Familiarity with concepts such as hydraulics, pneumatics, thermodynamics, and compressible flow
Understanding of engine control systems, lab test equipment, and calibration methodologies
