Payroll Specialist

Position Overview: Handle various aspects of payroll processing in Workday, Kronos, and other custom programs for large employer with nearly750 locations in multiple states and Canada.

Primary Duties Include:

· Various aspects of payroll processing in Workday including data entry, reviewing and auditing pay vs pay plans, running reports and reviewing retro adjustments

· Assist with both on and off cycle payments including daily final pay checks

· Answer employee calls on Payroll Phone Queue for up to two non-consecutive hours per day on various payroll matters; sometimes longer on paydays

· Assist with entering timeclock punch updates in Kronos

· Special projects or tasks, as assigned

Skill Requirements:

· 3 to 5 years experience in the payroll function, including experience with a large employer with multiple locations required; state and local taxation and garnishment processing a plus

· Intermediate Excel skills; Workday experience a huge plus

· Strong verbal and telephone skills are required for the daily interaction with employees

· Experience in multi-tasking, with great attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality

· College graduate or some college preferred

Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus

Pay range: $23 - $29 per hour
