The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Software Architect to lead the architectural design and evolution of our next-generation AdTech platform. This is a critical role requiring deep expertise in building and scaling distributed systems capable of handling massive data volumes and real-time demands in the advertising technology space. A key area of focus will be designing and optimizing our attribution models and systems. As a Chief or Senior Software Architect, you will be responsible for defining the technical roadmap, driving architectural decisions, and ensuring the platform's scalability, reliability, and performance to meet the challenges of a rapidly growing business.

Responsibilities:

Architectural Leadership: Provide technical leadership and direction in the design, development, and deployment of our AdTech platform, ensuring it meets the scalability, performance, and reliability requirements of a high-volume, real-time advertising environment.

System Design: Design and architect highly scalable, distributed systems for ad serving, real-time bidding (RTB), data processing, analytics, reporting, and attribution modeling.

Attribution Expertise: Possess deep knowledge of various attribution models (e.g., last-click, multi-touch, algorithmic) and their implementation challenges in a large-scale advertising environment. Design and implement robust and accurate attribution systems.

Technical Roadmap: Define and maintain the technical roadmap for the AdTech platform, aligning with business objectives and anticipating future needs. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and architectural patterns, particularly related to attribution.

Technology Selection: Lead the evaluation and selection of appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for building and maintaining the platform, with a focus on technologies suitable for handling attribution data and calculations at scale.

Code Review & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers, promoting best practices in software development, architecture, and design, with a focus on attribution best practices.

Data Modeling: Design and optimize data models to support efficient attribution analysis and reporting.

Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the attribution pipeline, ensuring accurate and timely attribution results.

Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define attribution requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Compliance: Ensure the attribution systems comply with relevant privacy regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

10+ years of experience in software development, with a significant portion focused on building large-scale distributed systems.

5+ years of experience specifically architecting and implementing attribution systems within the AdTech industry.

Deep understanding of AdTech ecosystem, including ad serving, RTB, data management platforms (DMPs), and advertising measurement.

Strong expertise in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.

Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Proven ability to drive architectural decisions and influence technical direction.

Experience with agile development methodologies.

Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their implications for attribution.

Bonus Points:

Contributions to open-source projects in the AdTech space.

Experience with machine learning and AI techniques for attribution modeling.
