Consultant Job Description

As a Consultant at Winterberry Group, you will tackle a diverse array of consulting assignments in support of our corporate strategy, commercial diligence, and market intelligence engagements. Your responsibilities will include:

· Conducting comprehensive research initiatives, including one-on-one interviews with senior marketing executives, to support the firm’s consulting efforts.

· Developing business assessments, strategic roadmaps, market landscapes, trend analyses, and other client deliverables.

· Supporting managers in coordinating engagement logistics and ensuring seamless project execution.

· Leading project coordination and management of deliverables and smaller projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery.

· Performing primary and secondary market research to gather relevant data and insights.

· Collaborating with executive and senior leadership-level clients (internal or external) to address strategic business challenges and opportunities.

· Contributing to Winterberry Group’s intellect capital through research, market intelligence and white paper development

· Traveling as required, up to 20%, to support client engagements and business development activities.

The position offers a unique opportunity for someone with at least two to three years of consulting experience to be part of a highly motivated, smart, dynamic team while gaining valuable expertise across advertising, marketing, data, technology, commerce and media. The role encourages collaboration among small teams and clear mentorship from engagement directors. It also provides exposure, access and visibility into the larger organization and allows for professional development and internal career advancement

The role is based in New York City with a hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications

· Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of consulting experience with a strong background in primary and secondary research, financial analysis, strategic planning, market/competitive benchmarking, and data aggregation.

· Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the advertising, marketing, and technology industries is preferred but not required.

· Communication Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively in face-to-face, video, and telephone interactions.

· Presentation Skills: Superior presentation abilities, with experience in developing, and presenting delivering high-impact client deliverables.

· Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis (basic/intermediate Excel skills and strong quantitative reasoning—not requiring advanced data science or regression skills).

· Intellectual Curiosity: High level of intellectual curiosity and agility, with the ability to manage multiple work streams and maintain attention to detail.

· Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with a proactive approach to managing projects and tasks.

Compensation & Benefits

The total comp range for this position is: $90,000-$130,000

Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
