I’m working with a nationally recognized developer that’s actively hiring a Project Manager for their flagship ground-up multifamily wrap project in Torrance, California.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from ground-up through to completion. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and construction expertise to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate has experience in multifamily or mixed-use developments and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all phases of the construction project lifecycle—from pre-construction through closeout.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
Coordinate and communicate with architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and local authorities.
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Prepare and present project updates, status reports, and financial forecasts to stakeholders.
Monitor site progress, perform quality control checks, and resolve issues or delays.
Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and labor.
Maintain documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
Lead regular site and coordination meetings.
Foster a positive, results-driven team environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
5+ years of experience in construction project management, ideally with ground-up multifamily or commercial projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and budgeting.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera, Bluebeam).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems in a dynamic environment.
OSHA certification and PMP or CCM designation a plus.
