DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and passionate Senior Frontend Unreal Engine Developer to take a leadership role within our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the architectural design, development, and optimization of cutting-edge visual experiences and interactive elements within the Unreal Engine for our impactful solutions. You will leverage your deep expertise in C++ and the Unreal Engine ecosystem to lead the creation of compelling, performant, and scalable user interfaces and environments, while also mentoring and guiding other team members.

Day-to-day responsibilities and duties include:

Lead the development and implementation of complex frontend features and functionalities within the Unreal Engine using C++.

Architect and design robust and scalable game levels and environments, providing guidance to junior developers.

Define and enforce best practices for the creation of effective and reusable systems through the creation of template classes and other architectural patterns.

Drive the development of sophisticated and intuitive user interfaces and menus within the Unreal Engine, ensuring optimal user experience.

Design and implement advanced mapping functions for complex input and action systems.

Expertly utilize and manage GameInstances for intricate persistent data and global game state management.

Define and implement strategies for managing different Game Modes to create diverse and engaging gameplay experiences.

Lead the optimization efforts for rendering and performance, ensuring efficient handling of large amounts of polygons, particularly within advanced visual effects systems like Niagara.

Architect and develop complex custom shaders to achieve advanced visual styles and effects, potentially guiding others in shader development.

Take ownership of key frontend modules and drive their technical direction.

Collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of frontend elements and contribute to overall project planning.

Proactively identify and resolve complex technical challenges and performance bottlenecks, providing innovative solutions.

Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers to elevate the overall code quality of the team.

Contribute significantly to the overall architecture and technical vision of the application.

Stay at the forefront of advancements in Unreal Engine and related technologies, evangelizing best practices and innovative approaches within the team.

Potentially lead small teams or provide technical guidance on specific projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants MUST

- must be able to qualify and maintain security clearance.

- have at least 5 years of Frontend Unreal Engine Developer experience and have a good understanding of professional business environments.

- be very friendly and able to calmly handle clients and staff

- be able to carry themselves in a professional manner

- be punctual, responsible, and reliable

- have good written and verbal communication skills (answering the phone and composing emails in a professional manner)

Pay: From $100,000 per year excluding bonus and benefits.

Schedule:

The schedule for this position is project driven and can be highly variable depending on project deadlines and the specific needs of the software development teams.

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed
