Title: Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Observability & Automation
Location: On-site in Plano, TX
Type: Full-time
Pay: $170,000 – $190,000
Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead observability and automation initiatives across cloud and on-prem environments. This role will focus on implementing Dynatrace and Splunk, building Ansible-based automation, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate has a strong SRE background and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
10+ years in application engineering
5+ years of SRE experience (architect or engineer level)
Strong hands-on experience with Dynatrace (required) and Splunk (preferred)
Proficiency in Ansible and Python for automation
Experience with Agile/SDLC methodologies
Knowledge of performance, security, availability, and monitoring best practices
2+ years of experience with relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB)
Scripting experience in Unix Shell, Python, or PowerShell
Familiarity with containerization and cloud-based infrastructure
Background in systems architecture and DevOps
Experience in regulated industries (financial services preferred)
Responsibilities:
Design and configure observability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk) across environments
Automate monitoring processes using Ansible and scripting
Collaborate with architects to define monitoring strategies and roadmaps
Analyze incidents and usage trends to improve reliability
Promote adoption of observability tools and best practices
Establish and track SLIs/SLOs with service owners
Develop tooling to meet audit and security requirements
Mentor junior engineers and support team development
Communicate technical solutions to stakeholders
