Sales Director - Distribution
Location: Remote / U.S. based
Our client is a global leader in enterprise software solutions tailored to the distribution and manufacturing sectors. Their technology empowers distributors, wholesalers, and suppliers to optimize operations and drive profitability.
We are seeking a Sales Director - Distribution who thrives in a player-coach capacity, leading from the front while directly managing a growing team of 4+ enterprise sales professionals. This role is quota-carrying ($6M+ target) and is ideal for someone who enjoys closing large, complex deals while mentoring a high-performing team.
About the Role
As a Sales Director, you’ll be responsible for:
Directly managing a team of 4+ Enterprise Account Executives
Personally owning and closing enterprise deals while helping the team hit collective targets
Driving strategic growth in the distribution ERP software market
Implementing sales strategies and overseeing deal execution from lead to close
Coaching team members, joining client calls, and rolling up your sleeves to get deals over the line
Responsibilities:
Meet/exceed your individual and team quota ($6M+) - player/coach role
Coach, mentor, and develop Enterprise AEs to elevate performance
Drive net-new business through outbound efforts and territory strategy
Lead by example in deal strategy, prospecting, pipeline development, and closing
Partner cross-functionally to align resources and support the sales cycle
Deliver compelling product demos and business cases
Maintain CRM hygiene and forecasting accuracy
Regularly report on performance metrics and pipeline health
Ideal Candidate:
Min. 5-10+ years of ERP Enterprise Software Sales experience, with a focus in Distribution
Proven experience closing 7-figure enterprise deals with Fortune 500-1000 clients
Demonstrated ability to lead and coach sales teams while maintaining strong individual performance
Hands-on, strategic, and collaborative sales leadership style
Experience with a solution-selling approach and managing complex sales cycles
Comfortable in a dynamic, high-growth, and performance-driven environment
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required
Strong communication, leadership, and presentation skills
Proficient in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness to travel as needed
Offering:
Base Salary: $175,000 - $200,000 (based on experience)
OTE Year 1 @ Plan: $350,000 - $400,000+
Uncapped Commission Plan
