Job Summary:
Our client is seeking Power Systems Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Denver, Colorado.
Duties:
Research, design, and develop innovative power solutions that support hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) networks and consumer premise equipment (CPE)
Lead initiatives focused on optimizing power utilization, storage, generation, measurement, monitoring, and delivery across network infrastructure
Contribute to efforts that improve energy efficiency, reduce operational costs and carbon emissions, and enhance overall network reliability
Support the development of energy-related services and technologies, including demand response systems and virtual power plant (VPP) applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network engineers, software developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to drive technical solutions
Design and prototype software systems for power management, including network-based monitoring, control, test automation, and optimization tools
Utilize data analysis and machine learning techniques to enable intelligent power management and predictive system behavior
Engage with internal teams and external vendors to validate concepts, explore new technologies, and implement scalable solutions
Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices in all aspects of engineering and deployment
Stay current with emerging trends in power engineering, energy systems, and software technologies relevant to telecom and network infrastructure
Desired Skills/Experience:
Bachelor's of science in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent
Experience with AC powering of devices, including hands-on experience designing and building devices and their power supplies
Experience with conversion between AC and DC power, including grid-tied power inversion
Software development/prototyping of monitoring and remote management/control/automation of networked devices experience
Familiar with electrical power transmission and distribution grids
Familiar with renewable power generation, including solar, energy storage technologies, microgrids
Familiar with demand response, dispatchable power, and virtual power plants
General familiarity with HFC network architecture and technologies desirable, including HFC quasi square wave powering
Strong communications and interpersonal skills to effectively work with internal stakeholders

The approximate pay range for this position starting at $183,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
