Our Client is seeking a high performing SMB Account Executive to drive new business growth. As a proactive and strategic "hunter," this professional will identify high-value opportunities in the software market, lead complex sales cycles, and deliver customized technology solutions that solve critical client challenges.
The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional who excels at identifying high-value opportunities, building long-term client trust, and representing the company at industry events and partner engagements. This person will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence while acting as a key ambassador to one of our major strategic partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify, pursue, and close high-value opportunities through strategic prospecting, cold outreach, and the effective use of an established industry network.
Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance client’s visibility, generate leads, and build strong relationships with potential clients.
Lead the full sales cycle, including needs analysis, solution presentation, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
Effectively communicate client’s value proposition, demonstrating ROI and solving client pain points with innovative, technology-driven solutions.
Spearhead partnerships with innovation hubs and accelerators, proactively identifying relevant events, partnership opportunities, and coordinating these initiatives to drive new opportunities within the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
Develop and maintain deep, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers and C-level executives.
Work collaboratively with delivery, technical, and operational teams to identify opportunities for upselling and expanding client’s presence within existing accounts.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
Provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders to align with client’s offerings with market demands.
Partner closely with multidisciplinary teams to align project execution with client goals, ensuring seamless delivery of solutions.
Accurately forecast and report pipeline status, revenue growth, and sales performance to leadership.
Set and monitor key performance metrics, ensuring goals for sales targets and profitability are consistently achieved.
Qualifications and Skills:
8+ years of proven experience in a hunter-style sales role in the software industry, with a focus on high-value SMB accounts.
Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
Proven ability to leverage an existing professional contact list to generate new business opportunities.
Experience in actively participating in industry events, conferences, and networking initiatives to expand client pipelines.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Leadership capabilities to mentor team members and collaborate across diverse internal teams.
Strategic Vision: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand client portfolios.
Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales automation tools.
Established professional network within the technology and software industry.
