A Network Design Engineer job is available with our client in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role you will design and plan network systems, as well as provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics Field plus a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US Citizenship is required.

***U.S. Citizenship Required & Must be Eligible to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance within a reasonable period of time***

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Design and plan network systems, as well as provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.

* Deliver specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

* Coordinate third party maintenance for network equipment.

* Troubleshoot problems with department users and department network administrators.

* Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, hubs, bridges and gateways, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

* Subject matter expert (SME) In one discipline/field and developing working knowledge In adjacent disciplines/fields.

* Develop and provide innovative and creative solutions to a variety of difficult problems of considerable scope and complexity, using established precedent and policies.

* Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts In the field.

* Capable of working on complex problems of diverse scope or situations or data that requires In-depth evaluation of variable factors.
