We're looking for a hands-on QA Automation Engineer with strong experience in modern test automation frameworks, a solid grasp of JavaScript/TypeScript, and proven success working in financial services environments.
You’ll join a fast-paced team supporting new development initiatives within a portfolio management and trading systems group. Projects are greenfield and involve React front ends, API integrations, and an evolving automation stack that includes Playwright, ReadyAPI, and upcoming adoption of TestComplete.
Responsibilities
Design and implement automated tests for frontend (React) and backend (API) components
Work closely with developers to ensure high test coverage and integration across the SDLC
Develop scalable and reusable automation scripts using Playwright, ReadyAPI, or similar tools
Participate in agile planning sessions and define test strategies for new features
Help transition legacy UFT testing into modern frameworks like TestComplete
Troubleshoot defects and track root causes through test logs and diagnostics
Skills
5+ years of experience in QA/test automation
Recent hands-on experience in financial services (banking, trading, asset management, fintech, etc.)
Strong scripting skills in TypeScript or JavaScript
Experience with Playwright, ReadyAPI, or similar test automation tools
Strong understanding of RESTful API testing
Familiarity with React-based UI testing
Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and test result reporting tools
Nice to Have
Experience with TestComplete or prior exposure to UFT migrations
Background in portfolio management, trading systems, or investment platforms
ISTQB or similar testing certifications
