The Global EHS Analyst plays a critical role in analyzing Global EHS trends within Excelitas and also benchmarking against global similar industry standards. This position will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and monitoring global Excelitas EHS trends using tools like pareto, root cause analysis, etc and providing outputs of such analysis results for improvement recommendations and to help prioritize focus areas to target for resolution. This also includes the analysis and determining data integrity of sourcing data for input into ESG environmental sustainability for GHG Scope 1 and 2 emission and Carbon footprint calculations. Work with respective EHS Managers to determine practical roadmap and strategies for Excelitas Corporate for reduction opportunities.
Responsibilities
Work closely with each site’s EHS and Facilities Managers to analyze the existing site’s Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
Publish monthly and annual Corporate report on Scope 1 and 2 GHG emission.
Monitor and report out on Global GHG emissions requirements, goals and implementation dates and plans.
Analyze and report out on EHS trends on the following metrics (but not limited to just the following):
Global incidents categories by site and also total Excelitas performance year over year : near-miss, first aids, OSHA Recordable and OSHA Reportable, and comparing and benchmarking against similar industry TRIR trend.
Corporate EHS, ISO14001 and ISO45001 audits results and findings and type classifications
Understand and determine data integrity for GHG Scope 1 and 2 calculations and respective countries emission factors
Based on the analysis results and benchmarking, work with Corporate Global EHS Manager and respective core site EHS managers on practical plans and solutions for continuos improvement and strive to be world class.
Keep track of all core sites EHS audit findings and timely closure of corrective actions from Corporate audit, or Registrar audits of ISO14001 and ISO45001. Provide assistance to core sites to understand reasons for delay in corrective actions closure and necessary escalation to Corporate EHS Manager and VP of Global EHS
Working with Corporate EHS Manager to evaluate the effectiveness of the corrective actions implementations versus goals and expectations.
Support all relevant Corporate EHS initiatives as required.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in EHS, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering/Management or similar/ related field with at least 3 to 5 years of EHS working experience or equivalent certified EHS Professional recognized in the USA
Expect to travel about 10-20% if needed
Proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point presentation.
Active working knowledge and experience in GHG emission Scope 1 and 2 data source and emission factors, TRIR calculations are required.
Working knowledge and good hands-on implementation of ISO 14001 and ISO45001 is preferred.
Working knowledge of various industry Product Stewardship platforms like Assent, BOMCheck, RBA, etc preferred.
Certified ISO14001 and or ISO45001 Auditor is a preferred.
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to manage and meet regulatory agency requirements and deadlines.
Good communication skills and ability to work with people of diverse background is a requirement
Working knowledge of Global RoHS, REACH and RoHS is preferred.
Must be eligible to work on State Department controlled products (ITAR controlled).
