Position Summary:

The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and repairing diesel-powered trucks, trailers, and construction equipment. This position is ideal for candidates who excel in a structured, shop-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical components on fleet vehicles and equipment.

Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and system inspections to minimize equipment downtime.

Fleet Asset Care: Maintain and update service records for all equipment, ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company standards.

Parts & Inventory Management: Coordinate with inventory staff to ensure required parts and tools are stocked and available. Track usage and document repair activity.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations. Perform quality control checks to ensure repairs are completed to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician.

Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics.

Proficient with diagnostic software, scan tools, and maintenance equipment.

Ability to interpret technical manuals and service bulletins.

High attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

CDL is a plus, but not required.

ASE certifications preferred but not mandatory.
