Instructor /Assistant Professor– English and Tutoring

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg invites applications for a non-tenure-stream position in English and Tutoring at the rank of Instructor/Assistant Professor to begin August 2025. Candidates must have an Ed.D.in hand (or expect to have one within the next academic year), a superior command of teaching English Composition, English Literature, and Professional Writing, as well as experience tutoring in English, training and supervision of student tutors, development and delivery of supplemental instruction, and assisting with the Learning Resource Center. Other requirements include familiarity with pedagogical and technological advances in the areas of English Composition and Literature, digital humanities, and demonstrated interdisciplinary interests for collaborative cross-disciplinary teaching. A successful record of undergraduate teaching experience is required.
Pitt-Greensburg values candidates with a commitment to in-person undergraduate teaching, campus and community service, and experience in working with diverse groups. Successful candidates should be prepared to teach a 3/3 load (typically 9 credits per semester) plus Tutoring and other Learning Resource Center responsibilities as needed.
Additionally, candidates should be prepared to devote time to service and professional growth as part of their appointment and expectations of reappointment.
