The Nurse practices independently in a similar clinical setting, providing routine and complex care while managing contingencies and delegating tasks
Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation—to deliver evidence-based care
Addresses patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, documenting care and educating patients and families
Administers medications, monitors side-effects, and ensures safety and quality standards
Coordinates patient throughput, discharge planning, and unit operations, while maintaining equipment and supplies
Ensures compliance with healthcare laws/regulations, promotes safety, and participates in quality improvement activities
Demonstrates proficiency in health information documentation, medical equipment, and order processing
Reads and interprets patient charts, recognizes safety issues, and responds appropriately
Requires BSN (preferred), 1-year experience, BLS certification, and RN license in the state of employment.
