Prepares equipment and participates in planning and implementing patient care as primary nurse or team member.

Maintains accurate records of patient condition and progress, ensuring safe aseptic techniques.

Provides leadership and direction to support staff within the department.

The 6NT unit is a 36-bed cardiac care unit for post-surgical and medical-surgical patients with cardiac needs, emphasizing early detection and quick response to medical issues.

Opportunities include assessments, patient/family teaching, IVs, wound care, lab analysis, and medication management.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing school, Texas RN license, CPR, ACLS (within 6 months), EKG and NIHSS within 90 days, and preferred one-year nursing experience.
