The RN in Medsurg or Telemetry provides independent, comprehensive patient care aligned with treatment plans, demonstrating clinical judgment and delegation skills.
Meets competencies in self-leadership, flexibility, and unit adaptability; participates in patient flow and unit operations.
Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation; addresses psychosocial, cultural, and emotional needs.
Administers medications per protocols, monitors effects, and documents care; provides patient and family education.
Ensures safety, quality, and compliance with regulations; promotes positive patient outcomes.
Maintains clinical documentation, manages medical equipment, and processes orders accurately.
Interprets patient charts, recognizes safety issues, and responds effectively.
Requires BSN preferred, minimum 2 years Medsurg/Telemetry experience, RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS (within 30 days), and de-escalation training.
