Description:
The registered nurse, with experience in a similar clinical setting, practices independently, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care.
Provides both routine and complex nursing care, contributing to long-term care planning and managing clinical contingencies.
Delegates tasks appropriately to team members to ensure effective patient management.
Works in a 150-bed hospital offering specialized services such as orthopedic, surgical, ICU, women’s health, cardiovascular care, emergency, outpatient imaging, and more.
Meets competency expectations by utilizing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Addresses patients’ psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, providing education and support to patients and families.
Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring effectiveness and side effects.
Documents patient information accurately, including history, symptoms, and care provided.
Assesses learning needs and offers patient and caregiver education.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred), at least one year of related nursing experience, and an active RN license and BLS certification.
