Summary: The qualified nurse independently practices in a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care.
Provides routine and complex nursing care, planning long-term goals and managing contingencies.
Assigns and delegates tasks appropriately to care team members to ensure quality care.
Meets competencies related to self-leadership and team leadership.
Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—in patient care.
Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administers medications and treatments per protocols, monitoring effects.
Documents patient information accurately.
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients and families.
Job requirements include a BSN preferred, 1 year of relevant experience preferred, BLS certification, and an active RN license.
