Summary of the Registered Professional Dialysis Nurse role:

Responsible for delivering patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation in dialysis treatment.

Develops individualized care plans and provides direct/indirect care, including pre- and post-assessments and medication administration during dialysis.

Operates dialysis equipment per hospital policies, documents care and equipment changes accurately.

Ensures adherence to hygiene, PPE, and infection control standards.

Performs water treatment testing, electrolyte management, and obtains lab specimens as ordered.

Monitors and manages dialysis treatments, addressing complications per protocols.

Participates in care planning, documentation, and emergency responses.

Requires RN licensure, at least 6 months dialysis experience preferred, with additional ICU, ER, or Med Surg experience advantageous. Certifications in BLS and Nephrology Nursing preferred or required within one year.

Per diem, as needed position with opportunity for growth and specialization.
