Summary: Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Nurse Extern I performs various direct patient care activities in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
Assists with the care of hospitalized patients and may be assigned additional functions based on hospital protocols.
Requirements include current enrollment in an accredited RN nursing program aiming for an associate or bachelor’s degree, with successful completion of the first clinical and good standing.
Proficiency in basic nursing tasks is necessary. Six months hospital experience is preferred but not required.
American Heart Association BLS certification is required within two weeks of employment.
Work schedule is TBD, with a per diem as-needed work type.
