A CDL Road Driver primarily picks up and delivers trailers between service centers or turn-points using tractor-trailers.
Operates tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples where applicable.
Performs daily pre-trip and safety inspections, hooks/unhooks trailers, and completes required documentation.
Maintains logs, complies with hazardous material regulations, and follows dispatch instructions.
May load/unload freight, perform tire chaining, and assist as a city driver or dock employee if needed.
Must hold a valid Class A CDL with endorsements, recent driving experience, and meet DOT and LCV standards.
Works in varied conditions, driving long distances, often overnight, in different weather and road conditions.
Starting pay is $30.35/hour; full-time position with opportunities for overtime and overnight stays.
