The X-Ray Technician performs digital radiographic exams under provider orders, ensuring patient safety through proper positioning, immobilization, and radiation protection.
Responsibilities include documenting encounters in EMR, selecting appropriate technical factors, and maintaining clinical and administrative skills.
Additional duties involve specimen collection, lab testing, equipment maintenance, supply management, patient registration, scheduling, and supporting sterile techniques.
Requires ARRT certification, BLS certification, and preferably state licensure. One year of radiation safety and patient care experience is preferred.
Strong communication, attention to detail, multitasking, and knowledge of medical terminology are essential. Skills in patient-centered care, teamwork, and critical thinking are vital.
