Responsibilities include assisting with medication histories, training associates, preparing and verifying drug orders, compounding pharmaceuticals, issuing controlled substances, and maintaining accurate records.
Perform specialty duties in areas like IV rooms, operating rooms, or outpatient clinics, and provide ambulatory care services such as medication reconciliation and transition of care.
Ensure safe, cost-effective drug therapies, interpret medical records, report adverse reactions, and support medication use review activities.
Maintain licensure, certifications, competency, and attend staff meetings.
Possess a high school diploma, 3-5 years of experience preferred, and valid pharmacy technician registration; certification is a plus.
Work schedule is full-time; occupational hazards include exposure to hazardous substances and potential musculoskeletal injuries.
