Provides nursing care based on the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Addresses patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, and administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects.
Documents patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assesses learning needs and educates patients, families, or caregivers, identifying issues and resources.
Requires a BSN (preferred), at least 1 year of related experience (preferred), BLS certification, and RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
