This Nurse Anesthetist position provides anesthesiology services in the operating room, serving patients from neonates to seniors with diverse needs.
Preference is given to enrolled members of the Navajo Nation, Hopi Tribe, San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe, their spouses meeting residency requirements, or other federally-recognized tribes.
Qualifications include an accredited nursing degree, Nurse Anesthetist training approved by AANA, and a valid U.S. nursing license.
Must hold AANA certification, BLS, ACLS, and obtain ATLS within a year.
Experience in administering anesthetics, managing reactions, and knowledge of surgical procedures is required.
Strong interpersonal skills, high ethical standards, reliability, and ability to work under stress are essential.
Physical demands include prolonged sitting, standing, lifting, and fine motor skills; mental demands involve decision-making, stress management, and multitasking.
Environmental exposure to anesthetic agents, radiation, and infectious materials requires adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities include patient assessment, anesthesia administration, monitoring, post-op care, and emergency response, with a focus on safety, documentation, and teamwork.
