This practical nursing position involves floating to inpatient medical units and outpatient clinics, practicing within established patient care guidelines
Collaborates with RNs and physicians to collect data, plan, implement, and evaluate patient/resident care
Provides age-appropriate care, participates in the nursing process, and contributes to interdisciplinary care plans
Identifies educational needs and incorporates them into care plans
Administers prescribed medications and implements therapeutic treatments
Acts as a patient advocate, ensuring rights and offering psychosocial and cultural support
Supports performance improvement activities and contributes to organizational initiatives
Assists in orientation and career development of others
Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, Virginia licensure, and BLS certification, with de-escalation training within four months
Must complete orientation and competency assessments and meet essential job functions
This is a part-time role with day/night shifts, primarily 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
