Summary:

The competent nurse practices independently in a similar clinical setting, providing routine and complex care while managing long-term goals and contingencies.

Demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations and makes appropriate assignments or delegations to care providers.

Meets competency expectations related to self-leadership, team leadership, and leadership at higher levels.

Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) to deliver patient care in accordance with ANA standards.

Addresses patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs appropriately.

Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitors side effects, and documents care thoroughly.

Provides patient and family education, assesses learning needs, and identifies available resources.

Requires a BSN (preferred), at least 1 year of relevant nursing experience (preferred), BLS certification, and RN licensure in the state or via compact license.

This is a per diem position, as needed, with a maximum of 950 characters.
