Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Duties

- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing disorders

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on assessment results

- Provide speech therapy services to patients with various conditions, including but not limited to critical care, acute care, and pediatrics

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure effective treatment outcomes

- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed

- Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies for improving communication and swallowing abilities

- Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the principles of speech-language pathology in the evaluation and treatment process

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Experience

- Graduate of an accredited speech therapy program (minimum of MS-Speech Language Pathology).

- Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology

- Prior experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred

- Strong knowledge of patient assessment techniques and treatment modalities related to speech-language pathology

- Ability to effectively manage a caseload and prioritize patient needs

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
