Description
The Mammography Technologist will work directly and indirectly with the Radiologist to perform breast imaging procedures that require judgment, ingenuity and radiation protection, while responding to the needs of the patient.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Must have successfully completed at least a 2-year accredited Radiologic Technology Program
MQSA Compliant (15 mammography specific CME's within last 36 months; 200 mammograms performed within the last 24 months; 40 hours of initial digital mammography training
Skills/Abilities
Performs mammograms to ACR standards
Appropriate views for particular exam as per radiologist/department protocol
Ability to perform acceptable alternatives when patient condition requires them
Ability to physically assist patient to obtain high quality mammogram.
Assists physicians/radiologists with specialized procedures
Maintains working knowledge of mammography equipment.
Responds to information requests from patients, scheduling or other departments
Performs other duties as assigned
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with all staff within the Albany Medical Health System
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations
Current NYS License
Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT)
ARRT Mammography Registration
Current CPR certification

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $33.08 to $49.62 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
