Scheduler - OR Methuen, Full-time Hours

Join us at Holy Family Hospital Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds, and we are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services.

We have three behavioral health units: cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines.

Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.

Job Summary: OR Scheduler Full-time 40 Hour Days Staff must be able to work with Surgeon's offices to schedule surgical cases.

Familiarity with medical terminology a plus.

Responsibilities: * Answering multiple telephone calls from physician's; patients; and staff.

* Receive telephone calls from multiple departments and must transfer calls accordingly.

* Data entry of daily changes; verification of charges; reconciliation of charges; other data entry into excel spreadsheets.

* Calling patients, the day before appointments to inform them of their arrival times, schedule meetings for Director and Clinical Leaders.

* Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent.

Associates Degree in Business or medical field strongly desired.

* Previous medical secretary experience * Strong computer experience preferred
