Position Description Anoka County's Human Services division is committed to working with people to improve lives through collaboration across its five departments: Community Corrections, Community Social Services & Behavioral Health, Economic Assistance, Public Health & Environmental Services, and Job Training Center.
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide oversight for Human Services projects, including time estimates, resource allocation, project status updates, and managing critical path and milestone deadlines.
The Senior Project Manager develops project plans and contingencies, manages schedules, selects and coordinates with vendors, and provides overall direction to maximize product quality and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
This role works across the five departments in the Human Services Division, leading complex projects that may include internal and external partners.

Pay & Benefits * Salary: $98,176 to $117,790 annually ($47.20 to $56.63 per hour). * 2025 Anoka County Salary Schedule Grade 38: $98,176 to $137,384 annually ($47.20 to $66.05 per hour). * 24 days of paid flexible time off and up to 12.5 paid holidays.

Work Location * This position will work at Anoka County Government Center, located at 2100 3rd Ave, Anoka, MN 55303.
* This position may be eligible for flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work, with some days working remotely and some days working in the office.
* Expected work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m.
- 4:30 p.m.
Job Duties and Responsibilities These examples are not all inclusive and are intended to be illustrative of primary responsibilities of an Anoka County Senior Project Manager.
* Serve as the primary contact and manager for complex projects across the division, ensuring that project objectives are delivered on time, within budget, and with a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
* Develop and implement reports, standards, schedules, and contracts in support of division projects.
* Leverage reporting, analysis tools, models, data gathering systems, documentation procedures, and quality performance standards to complete projects.
* Conduct feasibility studies by identifying resources required, derived benefits, operating expense, and alternatives to the proposed project.
* Develop and implement solutions to customer and vendor needs to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
* Coordinate across 5 Human Services departments, along with other county divisions and departments, to achieve and meet the county's current and future objectives.
* Provide direction and oversight for tasks and troubleshooting pertaining to assigned projects.
* Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed * Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of job-related experience.
* In lieu of the required education, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
* Must have valid driver's license and vehicle available for business use.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed * Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Three years or more job-related experience with project management, leading, planning and organizing work, or related experience.
* Ability to use various project management tools and techniques in a complex environment.
* General knowledge of county human services programs and business processes.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions * Standard office environment.
* Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, such as to work on computers.
Ability to see colors, shades, and brightness.
* Hearing abilities required for general and phone communication, signals, and machine sounds.
* Assignments are sedentary, occasionally alternating between sitting, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling as required to perform job responsibilities.
Frequent wrist and finger manipulation to complete computer work.
* Occasional lifting of 10-20 lbs.
* Equipment used includes computers, phones, and standard office equipment.
* Occasional travel to other county work sites as needed.
Travel between work sites may require driving a county vehicle and/or a personal vehicle.
