Basic information Job Name: Product Manager, Real Estate Technology Location: Washington, DC Line of Business: Global Technology & Solutions Job Function: Investor Services Date: Wednesday, April 16, 2025 Position Summary Carlyle has a world-class Real Estate investment platform, and this role plays a central part in supporting its continued innovation and performance through technology.

The Carlyle Group's Global Private Equity (GPE) team within the Global Technology & Solutions (GTS) organization is seeking an experienced, business-savvy Real Estate Technology Product Manager to own the strategy and delivery of technology solutions supporting the Real Estate platform.

This role will serve as the primary product lead for Carlyle's custom-built US Real Estate Asset Management System (AMS) and will partner with the business to define future-state workflows, manage platform enhancements, and deliver reporting and process automation in partnership with the Agile delivery team.

The Product Manager will also be responsible for delivering technology solutions to the Europe Real Estate team . The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, engineering, QA, and other product leads across the GPE platform.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing Agile teams and a strong track record of delivering business-critical platforms in real estate, private equity, or financial services.

Responsibilities Product Ownership & Roadmap * Own the roadmap for the AMS platform and related Real Estate technology capabilities * Translate business workflows into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria * Manage and groom the Jira backlog; ensure delivery against prioritized goals * Lead discovery and intake processes with business stakeholders in US and Europe Delivery Leadership * Hold direct accountability for the Agile delivery team (developers, QA, analysts), including performance management and day-to-day execution * Effectively coordinate across time zones to ensure team alignment and efficient delivery * Lead sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives * Track and report progress to GTS and business leadership Stakeholder Engagement & Onboarding * Serve as the primary liaison to the US Real Estate Asset Management team * Deliver technology solutions to the Europe Real Estate team and onboard them to core platforms * Drive adoption of new features and solutions through demos, training, and structured rollout Data, Reporting, & Workflow Enablement * Deliver enhancements to portfolio-level and asset-level reporting * Partner with Data & Reporting team to ensure integration of AMS data with firmwide reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Snowflake) * Identify opportunities for process automation, potentially leveraging AI, and system optimization Qualifications Education & Certificates * Bachelor's degree required; preferred focus in Real Estate, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar Professional Experience * 7+ years of experience in product management, real estate technology, or financial systems * Demonstrated ability to manage and align diverse stakeholder groups across regions and business functions * Strong understanding of real estate workflows, asset/portfolio management, and valuation concepts * Experience managing Agile teams and using Jira or similar tools * Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements Competencies & Attributes * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across levels and regions, including executive presence.

* Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel), and data concepts (tables, joins, filters, validations) Preferred Qualifications * Experience implementing or managing real estate-focused systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, ARGUS, or similar) * Familiarity with Snowflake, SQL, or data integration tools * Experience supporting cross-regional implementations * Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and facilitating cross-functional alignment.

Benefits/Compensation The compensation range for this role is specific to Washington, DC and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $155,000 to $175,000.

Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
