Circle Haven, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing innovative opportunities and support services to adults with disabilities in South Jersey. Circle Haven is a new, but growing organization that will have opportunities for community-based supports, individual supports, professional growth, and future opportunities.

Circle Haven is looking for a DSP to work approx 30-35 hours/week as need or as determined by the client. These hours would typically be between the hours of 9am-4pm with occasional evening or weekend if needed by the family. This DSP needs to have experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors. The locations for this job will also depend on the client's needs but may include Glassboro, Mullica Hill, Laurel Springs, Williamstown and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provides direct care to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities

2. Performs personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding and ambulation, medical monitoring and health care related tasks

3. Documents services provided. Keeps track of casework notes, daily activities, behavioral assessments

4. Maximizes independence in various life skills including nutrition, cooking, finance, community participation and social skills

5. All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Experience working with individuals with challenging behavior

Strong written and visual communication skills

Dependable in attendance and timeliness

Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching and walking for periods of time

Passion for the non-profit sector and a deep commitment to the organization's mission.
