ESS-IT Identity Services team is seeking a Systems Security Engineer to support our Enterprise Federation Service. As a key member of our team, you will apply your IT expertise to design, develop, and implement secure systems infrastructure, including federation services, single sign-on and multi-factor solutions, and Exostar services. You will work with cross-functional teams to extend our federation service capabilities and provide technical support globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and implement federation services for on-premise and cloud environments
Collaborate with application owners to extend single sign-on solutions to new and existing applications
Work with SMEs, engineers, and customers to design, develop, and implement secure systems infrastructure
Provide technical leadership to junior employees and contribute to the development of technical documentation
Troubleshoot high-level networking issues and perform root cause analysis
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in identity management and security

Typical Education and Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an Engineering discipline; OR equivalent work experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn new concepts quickly
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Skills and Education
6+ years of overall IT experience
Experience with Ping Identity Products (PingFederate, PingOne, PingID, PingAccess)
Knowledge of Multifactor Authentication (MFA) solutions and password-less authentication
Knowledge of SAML, WS-Federation, and OAuth
Experience with Exostar, Azure/Entra ID, and Entra Enterprise application configuration
Experience with troubleshooting Federation Logs
Familiarity with SIEM tools, such as Splunk
Knowledge of identity and access management and compliance regulations (CMMC, FedRAMP)
Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (PowerShell, JavaScript, Python)
General networking knowledge of large-scale global environments (LAN, WAN, etc.)
Experience with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
