Summary:
Are you an experienced graphic designer with 5+ years of experience, passionate about human-centered design and creating memorable brand experiences? We’re seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Communications Summer Intern to join our team. This unpaid internship offers valuable hands-on experience in public relations, digital marketing, content creation, and community outreach within a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in writing press releases, blog posts, and social media content
Support media relations by compiling press lists and tracking media coverage
Help develop and schedule digital content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube
Participate in creative brainstorming for marketing campaigns and community events
Assist in organizing photo and video shoots, and gather behind-the-scenes content
Conduct research on media trends, influencers, and local outreach opportunities
Attend select Museum events to support on-site marketing efforts and documentation
Help with general marketing and administrative duties as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects
Familiarity with major social media platforms
Energetic, team-oriented, and eager to learn
Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
Availability to work 10–15 hours per week (flexible with schedule)
