The Registered Nurse in Maternal Care is responsible for caring for laboring, post-partum patients, and newborns, with skills in fetal monitoring, recognizing fetal and neonatal complications, and providing appropriate interventions.
Provides total patient care, including triage, medical screening, and post-delivery housekeeping duties.
Must be compassionate, empathetic, and passionate about educating new parents to enhance patient satisfaction and quality care.
Values teamwork, problem-solving, and a positive attitude to contribute to a supportive healthcare environment.
Qualifications include at least 1 year of nursing experience, an Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), Kansas Nursing License, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, fetal monitoring, and STABLE (can be obtained during orientation).
Additional preferred certifications include Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and ALSO.
