The RN II in Critical Care Step Down is responsible for applying nursing skills across assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation, ensuring quality communication, teamwork, and professionalism.
Responsibilities include patient teaching, safety initiatives, and coordinating care activities of the health team while maintaining professional standards.
Must complete annual competencies, participate in department initiatives, and develop educational materials.
Requires Associates Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), RN licensure in Virginia, and BLS certification; relevant specialty certifications are a plus.
Minimum of 1872 hours (936 with BSN) of RN experience needed, with performance evaluations.
