The registered nurse (Per Diem) in the EmPATH Unit is responsible for delivering quality patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation, while maintaining professionalism, communication, and teamwork.
Performs patient teaching, safety initiatives, and supports health team activities, including leadership roles like Charge Nurse.
Completes mandatory and unit-specific competencies annually, participates in peer review, and contributes educational materials.
Requires Associates Degree in Nursing (RN diploma, ASN, or ADN); BSN preferred, with at least two years of RN experience. Must hold an active RN license and BLS certification; specialty certifications are a plus.
Must meet Virginia licensing requirements or hold multi-state licensure if applicable.
