The Nurse Practitioner in the Orthopedic & Surgery Clinic assesses and treats patients independently and collaboratively with surgeons.
Responsibilities include taking patient histories, diagnosing, ordering and interpreting tests, and developing treatment plans.
Provides preoperative instructions, prescribes medications, discusses surgical risks, and coordinates care with the healthcare team.
Supervises post-surgical recovery and educates patients on home care.
Qualifications include CRNP certification, Arkansas licensure, and familiarity with relevant practices.
Reports to the Clinic Director and may lead other staff, utilizing creativity and judgment to ensure patient improvement.
