This is an on-site role based in Charleston, SC **Contingent Upon Contract Award** OVERVIEW The Cybersecurity Engineer mid and senior level supports information security program implementation.
The role involves assessing the level of cybersecurity risk and developing and/or recommending appropriate mitigation countermeasures in operational and non-operational situations.
Must have an active Secret Clearance.
The Cybersecurity Engineer will: Develop and update tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to mitigate TSS Cybersecurity risks.
Manage compliance and cybersecurity configuration in accordance with NIST SP 800-128 Guide for Security-Focused Configuration Management of Information Systems (August 2011). Support system scanning and patching activities to maintain security posture.
Design and implement cybersecurity architectures, including the Defense-in-Depth Functional Implementation Architecture (DFIA). Apply the Risk Management Framework (RMF) throughout the system lifecycle.
Support Cybersecurity Safety (CYBERSAFE) implementation for mission-critical systems.
Perform Systems Security Engineering (SSE) to integrate security into system design and operations.
Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: Active Secret Clearance required Plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber resilient network Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure Respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Mid-Level: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent Senior-Level: Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent Mid-level: 3+ years’ experience with cybersecurity engineering Senior-level: 10 years of professional experience with cybersecurity engineering PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Standing 10% per day Sitting 60% per day Walking 5% per day Stooping 0% per day Lifting If traveling, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
