Job Description:
L3Harris Aeromet has an opportunity for an Image Processing Engineer working to apply, enhance and develop image and signal processing techniques for our Airborne Sensors (ABS) program. We are seeking an analyst with a passion for working with digital data and analyzing the underlying phenomena. The successful candidate will join an analysis and operations team developing best-in-class capabilities for various airborne collection platforms in support of the national defense.
Essential Functions:
Python (Jupyter Notebooks, NumPy, SciPy, OpenCV, Matplotlib) or MATLAB (Image or Signal Processing Toolboxes)
Familiarity with Atmosphere modeling and analysis

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred) or similar, with 2 years of experience or a Master's degree with 0 to 2 years prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Digital image reduction, analysis and signal processing techniques experience.
Python, MATLAB or other scripting language experience.
Background in engineering concepts and theory and experience applying these to the development of new concepts and technical practices
Window OS experience.
Applicant must have a willingness to relocate to the Tulsa, OK area.
Applicant must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
Ability to pass an FAA Class 3 flight physical.
Ability to deploy to remote sites for extended periods of time with a flexible schedule

Preferred Additional Skills:
Familiarity with atmosphere modeling and analysis
Familiarity with ballistic missile target characteristics and trajectory analysis.
