Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Software Applications Engineer specializing in the deployment, integration, and support of software development and software configuration management tools on both Windows and Unix platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing application support for individual users, rolling out tool environments to program teams, and acting as a project manager for deploying enterprise-wide applications to the division software engineering community.

Essential Functions:

Provide application support to the software engineering community for software development and software configuration management tools.

Work with the engineering community to build high-value end-to-end integrated application tool chains.

Collaborate with software engineering leadership on roadmapping engineering capabilities and future capacity.

Must be able to obtain a US security clearance.

Ability to support 30% offsite travel

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Current/active TS/SCI security clearance.

DevOps experience.

Proficient in both Windows and Unix operating systems.

Understanding of the software development lifecycle and industry best practices.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Willingness to work with teams, individuals, and suppliers to troubleshoot application and process problems.

Customer-focused and service-oriented.

Leadership skills to identify systemic problems and coordinate resources to address them.

Demonstrated ability to learn new skills, adapt to changing environments, and maintain attention to detail.

Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while remaining focused on long-term organizational goals.

Experience with the Atlassian stack and Jenkins is a plus.

Project management experience.

Experience with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering applications, with a focus on support.
