Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer with expertise in AWS and Azure to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. This role requires proficiency in scripting, Python, Terraform, and Jenkins.

Essential Functions:

Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.

Execute throughout the full development lifecycle including requirements flow-down and allocation, design, development, test, and sell-off.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate the deployment process.

Write and maintain scripts for automation using Python and other scripting languages.

Utilize Terraform to define and provision infrastructure as code (IaC).

Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.

Implement and manage security best practices and compliance requirements in cloud environments.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in cloud computing and DevOps.

Communicate with leadership on status, issues, milestones, and successes which requires strong communication and collaboration skills.

Provide technical leadership to drive technical and programmatic execution.

Perform metrics collection and analysis to maintain and improve team performance.

Plan, coordinate, and define the scope of work that needs to be accomplished by the DevOps team.

Interface with both program and business leadership to report program status, progress, and technical issues.

Interface and interact with customers to ensure products meet customer needs.

Interface with cross-discipline teams in support of system development, design, and integration efforts.

Leadership of agile programs and waterfall methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Maintain Secret security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of software experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of software experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of software experience.

Secret Security Clearance.

8+ years of experience in a lead DevOps engineering role with complex designs.

5 years experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.

5 years scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.

Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation.

Experience with RTOS & C++.

Preferred Additional Skills:

AWS and/or Azure certifications.

Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.

Understanding of network security principles and practices.

Direct customer interface experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $158,500 - $294,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
