Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned professional with deep expertise in contract management and a strong understanding of the broader job area. This role involves leading large, complex projects that are critical to organizational success, with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate will drive meaningful improvements across processes, systems, and products, and contribute to the development and implementation of operational plans that deliver measurable business impact. This position also requires effective communication and collaboration both within the organization and with external stakeholders to influence and enhance current practices and strategies.

Essential Functions:

• Leads and directs experienced professionals and associates.

• Requires management and leadership knowledge in the job area and comprehensive knowledge within professional discipline.

• Requires ability to communicate with leadership regarding matters of importance to the function of our business area. May conduct briefings with senior leaders.

• Responsible for proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities for assigned contracts/programs.

• Serves as the primary communication conduct between L3Harris and the respective customers.

• Provides a proactive voice in the business process.

• Provides proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

• Analyzes material estimates, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare bids and proposals.

• Prepares and conducts negotiations.

• Processes specifications, progress reports, and other reports.

• Advises management of contractual rights and obligations.

• Compiles and analyzes data as required. Maintains historical information for assigned contracts.

• Ability to clearly present information to a broad audience, inclusive of management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

• 6+ years of experience in contracts management, preferably dealing with US Government contracts.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with international and commercial contracts is a plus.

• Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR, CAS.

• Negotiation experience.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.).

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.

• Active TS/SCI security clearance a plus.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skill set, including the capability to interface with customers and form strong business partnerships with key program leaders.

• Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people of all levels within the organization.

• Ability to proactively solve problems and issues in a timely manner with moderate supervision.

• Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Advanced education within the discipline, or MBA.

• Demonstrated business acumen/finance experience.

• NCMA professional certifications (CPCM, CFCM, etc) are a strong plus.
