Job Description:
Aerojet-Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies Company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembler who will perform soldering, wiring, electronic and mechanical assembly of electronic boxes, cable assemblies and equipment racks by utilizing and following detailed work instructions to complete assembly tasks to produce flight hardware. This position is located in Orlando, FL.
Essential Functions:
Layout coordinated hole patterns, cutouts, trim lines, mating points, assembly and installation locations using precision measuring instruments and equipment.
Drill, route, ream, countersink, spot-face and counter bore parts.
Point-to-point wiring of electrical and mechanical components
Integrate sub-assemblies with cabling, and point-to-point wiring.
Assembly and wiring of electrical assemblies and components
Understand electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings; technical documents
Proficient at cable and wire stripping/crimping/labeling
Produce quality soldering and tinning
Skilled use of basic hand tools and related diagnostic equipment
High quality of workmanship: neat cable routing/bundling; clean and consistent results
Advanced wiring methods knowledge. Including color coding, neatness, wire gauging and sizing.
Strong Attention to detail
Ensure all work performed is in a quality minded, tidy & accurate manner.
Good time management and multi-tasking skills
Must have good oral and written communications skills
Ability to work in a team environment.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum 6 years of prior manufacturing experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Prior aerospace industry experience
Knowledge in the assembly of flight hardware.
IPC620 and J-STD-001 certification desired
Moderate computer skills desired
