JOB SUMMARY
The Development Team Coordinator is responsible for the administrative support and fundraising initiatives essential to developing, expanding, and stewarding donors. The Coordinator also fulfills the needs for administrative and hands-on planning/implementation support of events related components and tasks needed for Development and Presidential events. This role will have occasional contact with board members and their spouses, and maintain collaborative relationships with the leadership of One More Child to coordinate and maximize fundraising and communication efforts. As an active member of the Development team, the Coordinator will regularly interact with volunteers, major donors, and prospective donors, to assist them or provide information. It has some travel involved, with overnight, evening, and weekends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
• Pulls and manages donor giving reports that assist the team in strategically planning for stewardship and growth including the Top Donor Report, Declined Transactions Gift Report, etc.
• Owns responsibility for planning and executing special projects including holiday cards, donor gifts, bookmarks, photos, and thank you notecards.
• Assists the Senior Director of Development (that leads the Annual fund team) in fostering innovative ways to increase the success of Annual Fund giving and the overall donor base sustainability.
• Plays a vital role in the creative planning, management, and execution of Development Team events.
• Assists the entire team, as needed, with administrative support such as donor giving reports, meeting planning, and other organizational needs.
• Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing development related event plans and strategies to ensure fulfillment of funding goals. Events include but are not limited to the annual One More Child Signature Event, donor cultivation receptions, board meeting dinners, Women of Compassion, and other Presidential events.
• Assists in making discretionary decisions on event planning using information collected such as, but not limited to, sponsorships, event needs, volunteer support, applicable timelines, and event goals.
• Assists in implementing specific event strategies directed toward targeted donors, potential donors, and other key constituencies.
• Coordinates related projects including mailing lists, invitation designs, mailings, distribution, scheduling, record keeping, ordering supplies and phone calls as needed.
• Assists with the strategic planning and preparation of collateral material associated with the development program and events.
• Candidates must be extremely creative, motivated and have a desire to stretch themselves so that the Development Team can reach beyond its current borders and achieve new heights!

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• 2 years of college or university and/or professional work experience.
• Willingness to complete fundraising training.
• Desire to do additional systematic self-study to upgrade knowledge and skills in the development field.
• Demonstration of leadership skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior fundraising experience.
• Prior event experience.
