Job Description
Concierge Security will be an integral member of the front office team that creates an authentic experiences for the tenants, visitors, and staff. This individual will be responsible for providing personal services for visitors, tenants or workers in the building where they are employed. The incumbent will greet visitors and conduct any security or identity checks, ensuring that visitors are directed to the appropriate individual and assisting with practical accommodations. The incumbent will control access to the property twenty-four hours a day and will report any hazardous conditions within the property and grounds to the Superintendent and/or Property Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Offering a warm and professional welcome to tenants, visitors, and staff and entering their details into the visitor log.
Notify all tenants and staff of deliveries and visitations.
Organize concierge area including package area to ensure packages and mail were given to tenants/guests promptly and communicate with management of any packages that were not picked up by tenants/guests.
Overseeing the safe-keeping of the building’s keys to allow access for maintenance and repairs when necessary.
Contributing to the maintenance of the building by reporting faults or damage to fixtures and fittings.
Overseeing deliveries and signing for packages when required.
Building a network of local contacts to ensure high-quality recommendations.
Acting as a first point of contact for queries and complaints.
Dealing with lost property and locating missing items.
Liaising with housekeeping, cleaning and groundskeeping staff to ensure that safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
Maintains a safe and secure environment for the tenants, staff, and visitors.
Must be certified in First Aid and CPR.
Must be able to rotate shifts at the Superintendent’s discretion and/or as needs of the business requires.

Decision-making responsibilities: Will have very limited challenging decisions that could impact the operations. Frequent contact with staff within departments using considerable independent judgment in making decisions.

Working relationships and contacts: Foster positive relationships with internal contacts which will include interaction with senior leaders, management, employees within other departments, and direct reports.
Impact/importance of function: Accountable for service delivery for resident satisfaction and to increase positive productivity between Social Services and operations and ensuring accurate and timely response to issues or concerns that are identified.
Position Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
Job-related knowledge:
Knowledge of project-based FHEPS [Family Homelessness and Eviction Prevention Supplement] and other affordable housing programs.
Job-related skills, including language, mathematical, and reasoning (analytical) skills:
Must be capable of accurately typing 50 WPM [words per minute]; Word Processing at 200 strokes per minute.
Utilize good judgment and discretion in the handling of confidential information.
Communicate effectively and establish credibility throughout the organization with Senior Management, department heads, and colleagues as an effective developer of solutions to business staffing challenges.
Demonstrated ability to understand and work with analytical tools, reports and technology.
Bilingual Spanish is ideally preferred.
Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe, with a high degree of proficiency in Excel.
High level of experience and proficiency working within a Property Management system is a plus.

Great customer service and team management skills to handle regular contact with external and internal callers and to assure a high degree of customer service is provided.
Ability to communicate effectively with property owners, vendors, and tenants.

Licenses, certifications, and degrees:
High School Diploma or GED.
A minimum of two (2) years of satisfactory full-time work experience in commercial and/or residential security services.
Must have an active New York State Security Guard License.

May be required to work long hours and a varied schedule.
Travelling throughout various locations in the New York City area.
Lifting and moving objects weighing up to 30 pounds several times a week.
