The Operations Manager will report into the Senior Manager of Fulfillment to oversee all operational aspects of the fulfillment team, ensuring efficient product flow, accurate order fulfillment, and timely delivery by managing staff, optimizing processes, maintaining inventory levels, and upholding safety standards at all times while aiming to maximize productivity and cost-effectiveness.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Staff Management:
Supervise and lead a team of fulfillment team associates, including supporting hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary action
Manage workflow by assigning tasks and managing employee schedules to optimize productivity.
Foster a positive work environment and promote safety culture.
Operational Efficiency:
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including order accuracy, shipping time, and inventory levels.
Identify areas for improvement and implement process optimization strategies to increase efficiency.
Continuously review and update operational procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
Inventory Control:
Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, identifying potential shortages or risks, and coordinate with purchasing teams.
Oversee receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate inventory data.
Implement cycle counting procedures to maintain inventory accuracy.
Order Fulfillment:
Oversee picking, packing, and shipping processes to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Monitor order accuracy and address any discrepancies.
Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely deliveries.
Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control measures to ensure product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Investigate and resolve quality issues promptly.
Cost Management:
Develop and manage operational budgets to optimize resource utilization.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to reduce expenses.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
Conduct safety training and inspections to prevent accidents.
Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 years previous experience in Fulfillment /Warehouse Operations within a luxury environment
High School degree required, Associates Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related area strongly preferred
Proficiency in Excel, Word and NetSuite or similar business systems
Familiarity working with shipping vendors/systems
Ability to quickly learn and apply system capabilities
Strong attention to detail and organization
Demonstrated ability to communicate regularly across teams as well as with customers and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
Ability to lift, bend, carry and move packages weighing up to 25pounds
Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
